~ FRIENDS ~

As we walk our path of life,
We meet people everyday.
Most are simply met by chance.
But, some are sent our way.

These become special friends
Whose bond we can't explain;
The ones who understand us
And share our joy and pain.

Their love contains no boundaries.
So, even we are apart.
Their presence enhances us
With a warmth felt in the heart.

This love becomes a passageway,
When even the miles disappear.
And so, these friends, God sends our way,
Remain forever near.

SAN ANTONIO OR BUST

I guess my brother Rollie is off on a new adventure lol. He's going to the Lone Star State of Texas! Lots of changes are happening in the Gleed household. Hopefully all for the best....
He's going to San Antonio home of the Alamo!!! It will be a big change for everyone, but I know it will be a great experience for him. I always thought that we would be always close together, but that doesn't always happen. Situations change and the adventure begins!

Soda Springs is nestled in the beautiful southeast Idaho mountains where pioneers wagons left their mark on their way to Oregon. The weary travelers often stopped at Hooper Springs and many others to rest where natural carbonated water bubbles up from the ground, which gives Soda Springs it's name.

Mom paid her rent today for september, so the place is hers! A new chapter begins! Here's her new address:

WELL, MY FAVORITE TIME OF THE YEAR HAD COME! THE PERSIED METEOR SHOWER! IT WAS WAY COOL. HOPEFULLY SOME OF YOU GOT TO SEE IT. I KNOW I ENJOYED IT. FROM THE ARTICLE I UNDERSTAND YOU CAN SEE IT STILL FOR A FEW MORE DAYS...SO EVERYONE LOOK EAST AND LOOK UP! ENJOY THE WONDERS OF NATURE !!!!!

"Throughout the night, fiery streaks of light will zoom across the sky as the annual Perseids Meteor Shower presents what is usually the most watched meteor display of the year," said Patrick Wiggins, NASA Solar System Ambassador to Utah.
The National Weather Service forecasts mostly clear skies.
Under a moonless, dark sky, observers away from city light pollution are able to see one or two meteors per minute. This year, there will be no moon, making meteors even more visible.
Some Perseid meteors may also be seen in the next few nights and mornings. But astronomers predict tomorrow's predawn hours will probably be the best time for Utahns to look since that's when Earth will be nearly centered in and directly facing the oncoming meteoroid swarm.
The shower derives its name because they appear to burst from the constellation Perseus.
Telescopes and binoculars should not be used for viewing this or any meteor shower since they severely restrict how much of the sky the observer can see.
"A lawn chair, the naked eye, and maybe a few snacks, are the best things for viewing meteor showers," Wiggins said.
Most meteors are actually tiny bits of rock, many no larger than a grain of sand, that burn up do to air friction when they strike Earth's extreme upper atmosphere. The resultant meteor ash then drifts harmlessly and invisibly to Earth.
Wiggins notes that the Perseids are among the fastest meteors known, "tearing into our atmosphere at some 60 kilometers per second". At that rate a driver on I-15 could cover the distance from Salt Lake to St. George in about 8 seconds.
Most meteor shower particles are thought to be debris left behind by comets. The Perseids' parent comet, Swift/Tuttle, was last closest to the Earth in the early 1990s and will not return until 2126.

Gleed Family

Well everyone,
I got thinking where everyone is going their separate ways soon, anybody who would like to keep track of us, can always come here. Please email me at gillaireg@yahoo.com with their emails so we can keep in better contact with those who we care about the most....and that's YOU! We want make sure your forever added to our family, and our lives!
for one the Bott family has been OUR family for over 25 years, we have shared many happy and sad times together and would like to keep in touch forever if not longer. I thought the hardest part would be leaving my childhood home, but it will be to leave Malad. Though we will be back for visits, etc....it won't be the same.
So please, help out with our contacts. Emails, etc seem to be the best way for any of us to keep in touch with the people who means the most......We love you!!!!

Well, today was our family yard sale to get the things that we didn't need anymore sold. We actually did really well. Our Neighbors and friends helped out beyond our expectations as always!!!

BEST FRIENDS

Here is one of my new best friends. Jake....Lots of fun, and has lots of love to share. Cherhys and her hubby got Jake a few months ago and has been such a special little addition to the crew, however.......

I'm afraid that Charlie my cat doesn't feel the same way lol

As you can see by the picture, their meeting wasn't exactly uh....best friends for life if you get my meaning lol....

Dear Friends and Family,

Well, it's the end of a chapter in our family's lives. Mom is selling our house here in malad and moving to Soda Springs into an apartment. We just can't afford to keep it going with the rising costs of power, gas, etc anymore.

Rollie will be going to Texas, and I will most likely go to Salt Lake City. So the time of this Gleed family in Malad is over. At least in this capacity. We tried all we could to find somewhere for her to go in Malad but nothing ever opened. So it saddens me to say that we are leaving.

I know this may shock a lot of our family, since they love to come and visit. More so to come and stay with us here. That saddens us the most. But please don't be discouraged from coming to see us, we just won't have a large place to keep you in.

It breaks my heart to leave what I call my security blanket. When life goes wrong I always felt home as where I could regroup and continue. I've spent over 20 years here in this house and will be sorely missed.

It will be good however to start on a fresh and clean slate where there is nothing but the future to look forward to. There won't be so many memories of dad to sadden us, and I think it's the best way to move on from the past and look towards the future.

We look forward to seeing and hearing from everyone we care about as often as you can! If you come our way(s) please come and see us! Friends and Family are ALWAYS welcome!

Love always,

Mom, Rollie, Gillaire, Cherhys (and of course Charlie, my kitty)
